The faculty development department organized a four day orientation programme for the first year students of Paavai Institute of Allied Health Sciences to make them familiar with culture of the Institution, communication skills, respect education and stress management. The orientation programme was held from 06.03.2021 to 10.03.2021 at Prestige Hall. Dr. K. Selvi, Dean Academics, Mrs. K. Subashini, Associate Professor ,Mr C. Loganathan,A.V.HOD,Paavai Institutions , Mr.Elavarasan,Yoga Trainer ,Dr.M.Premkumar,Prinicipal,PEC,Dr. Hepsi Rachel Chellarani.A, Principal, Paavai College of Nursing Research , Dr.S.G.Miduna,BDS, Dr.Shanthi, HOD, English, Dr.A.Suphalakshmi CSE,HOD,PEC,Dr.Bhanumathi,Associate professor CSE,PEC and Mr.Elavarasan, Yoga trainer were the resource person of this orientation programme. Dr.K. Selvi, Dean Academics focused on Paavai culture Principles, Paavai mantra and belief, and she also explained about Creating compassion among health care professionals Mrs.K.Subashini Associate Professor, FDD, Focused on Respect Education. She narrated various life histories of great people who exalted because of higher education. She also pointed out that education changes the destiny of nation. Mr. Loganathan HOD Audio Visual Development, illustrated with examples the life skills and their application in day to day life. He spoke about the importance of rendering first aid to the people who are in need. He showed many videos pertaining to family values, duties and responsibilities. Mr. Elavarasan, focused on yoga and he demonstrated yoga and made everybody to understand that Yoga is really helpful for us to concentrate in our classes. It makes us flexible and stays healthy and it makes our mind positive. Dr.M.Prem Kumar, principal, Paavai Engineering College gave a talk on Involve to Evolve He also stated that “Without your involvement you can’t succeed. Without your involvement you can’t fail”. Dr. Hepsi Rachal Chellarani, principal, PCNR, elaborated an health and hygiene. She highlighted the significance of health and hygiene which is necessary for students. Dr.S.G. Miduna, BDS. She explained the professionalism medical field. Dr. Shanthi HOD, English PEC, focused on Communication Skills. She explained about the basic skills of English language and the ways to improve in learning, speaking, reading and writing. Dr.A.Suphalakshmi,CSE,HOD,PEC explained the Role of technology in medical field, Dr.Bhanumathi,Associate professor,CSE,PEC, She explained on how to manage the stress in college life. The feedback session of the orientation programme was in the afternoon. Many students gave their feedback about the benefits of the orientation programme. The Chairman addressed that the students should make use of the opportunity given,so that they become a responsible health care professional. The Correspondent madam focused on the importance of gender equality and further stressed that all health care professional should have purity in head, hand and heart to serve the humanity. he 75th Independence Day was celebrated by our Paavai Institutions at Kalpana Chawla Open Theatre on 15.08.2021 in a grand manner by strictly adhering to social distancing norms.  Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan Chairman, hoisted the national flag, and initiated the event which enthused the gathering with national fervor at the outset. The flag song and National anthem was sung.

The Chairman, in his keynote address, conveyed his Independence day wishes to all the Directors, Deans, Principals, Hods, faculty members and non-teaching staff members. He expounded that the responsibility falls on the shoulder of students to preserve our rich heritage and tradition. He also heighted that to respect and follow our democratic principles, rules and regulations with strong belief in truth, honesty, determination, responsibility and duty. The youth, are the backbone of our nation. We need to lead our nation in progressive path and excel in technology, innovation, agriculture etc. We have to propagate our historically significant features, rivers and natural wealth among other countries. They must follow the principles of non – violence to achieve everything in their life like Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation. He also insisted to follow the discipline, truth, honesty, universal brotherhood, secularism, patriotism and Unity in diversity, which is portrayed by Mahatma Gandhi. He insisted that everyone must be grateful to the freedom fighters for their sacrifice. Educational Institutions are temples where teachers are regarded as gurus and students are sishyas, where all students should obey and follow teachers’ words, so that teaching-learning takes place in a successful way. He also expressed that in this 75th Independence day, it was great and proud to hear that our country men has got Olympic medal. So it is the duty and responsibility of the youngsters to make our country proud by getting more Olympic medals in future. Therefore, he suggested that all youth of our nation need to develop skills and talents so that they make our country flag fly high in all the sports and competitions. He also advocated that students and teachers need to take oath to make our country pride among international level.

The Anna University has given the Best NSS Officer award to Mr.Rathina Kumar, NSS Officer, Paavai Engineering College and which was felicitated by Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman Paavai Institutions at this auspicious occasion.

The programme was organized by Mr.Santana raja, Physical director and Mr.Loganathan, AV-HOD. Mr.K.Senthil, Director Admissions, Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Principals, Deans, HODs, faculty members and office bearers participated in the celebration

The Inauguration of 2021-2022 batch of I – year Allied Health Science courses, were held on 5th January 2022, at Thirumandhiram Hall, Paavai Pharmacy College, Namakkal.

The Program started with a prayer song. The Welcome address was given by Dr.P.Chitra, Principal, PIAHS. Then, Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director, Administration, Paavai institution, explained about the importance of paramedical courses. Dr.Sivakumar, Principal, Paavai College of Pharmacy and Research, stated that the students should be disciplined and explained the rules and regulations. Dr.Hepsi Rachel chellarani, Principal, PCNR focused on career development and said about 3D’s [Discipline, Dignity, Dedication] qualities to be followed. The Inauguration came to end with a vote of thanks by P. Valarmathi, Asst. professor, PIAHS. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Principal, Professors, faculty members, students, and parents have actively participated in the program.

Name of the event :  orientation programme  for first years

Three days orientation program was held from 06.01.2022 – 08.01.2022 at Thirumandhiram Hall. The Inauguration was held at Thirumandhiram Hall on 06.01.2022.

The Program started with the prayer song followed by lighting of Kuthuvelakku by Dr.K.K.Ramasamy Director Administration, Paavai institution, along with dignitaries, and students. He emphasized the importance of orientation program. And he also stated that to avoid self-medications, Then he instructed the students that, their duty is to give proper treatment at the proper time in the Hospital.

On Day – 1, Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics, PEC spoke about the PAAVAI culture, principles, and PAAVAI mantra. Dr.R.Shanthi, HOD, English gave a brief explanation about the importance of communication skills.

On Day – 2, Mr. Loganathan, A.V.HOD, PAAVAI institutions had a session on Life skills. He explained life-oriented education, first aid, and the Importance of Golden hours. Then Dr.Bhanumathi, HOD, CSE, PEC stated the importance of Stress management. We had a Yoga session with Mr.Elavasaran, the Yoga trainer.

On Day – 3, Dr.M.Prem Kumar, Principal, PEC described the gradual growth of an individual. He also instructed the students to dream big and add their value day by day. Then Dr.k.Subasini, Associate professor, FDD stated how education is important and the value of education. Finally, Dr.Sundarmoorthy, Professor, Mech emphasized the importance of time and how to manage time. The Orientation Program came to an end with a feedback session & also ended by singing National Anthem.

Name of the event :  international womens day celebration

As a part of The International Women’s Day celebration, Namakkal District Legal Services Commission, Paavai Engineering College and Tamil Nadu Center for the Defense of Human Rights jointly organized an inspirational speech at JRD Tata Stadium in Paavai College of Technology,.

Arima RD Ilango, State President, Tamil Nadu Center for the Defense of Human Rights, welcomed the gathering.  Judge C. Vijay Karthik, Secretary, District Legal Services Commission, presided over the function as the special guest.  In his presidential address, he spoke on the rights and protections of women, their legal framework, the functions of the Legal Services Advisory Council and legal solutions to the problems faced by women in their daily lives. Former International Director Arima K. Dhanabalan in his keynote address stated that women are strong enough to know their needs, realize their potential and take advantage of opportunities to move forward. 

Shmt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Educational Institutions, in her Women’s Day address, emphasized women to gain knowledge of the rights and laws associated with women.  She added that women should prop themselves up with economic freedom.  She then stated that the students should be confident and courageous to evolve as adored femininity.  Shri.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman of Paavai institutions, in his Women’s Day address asserted that women are those who have the ability to break through many obstacles and move forward.  He asked the students to dream big and try every second to accomplish their dream come true as said by the late former dignitary Mr. ABJ Abdul Kalam.  He then consented that when women are held accountable for what they say and do, they become successful.  

The event was graced with the presence of a great number of leaders, secretaries and members of the Namakkal District Legal Services Commission and the Tamil Nadu Center for the Defense of Human Rights.  The session was well-liked and feted by the professors and the students of Paavai Institutions.

Name of the event :  basic life support programme

A Two days basic life support program was organized and it was held on 22.02.2022 &23.02.2022 at Thirumanitharam Hall PCPR, PaavaiInstitution. This program was conducted under the guidance of Dr.P.Sathishbabu MBBS, MD Chairman of SMF Emergency hospital & Dr.S. Rathika Sathishbabu MBBS, DGO Managing director. In the basic life support program, Mr.G.Silambarasan DCA.,Msc , E&cct ,Mba, BEMS has conducted quiz, gave a talk on life support and its importance, the techniques of common emergency  care ,cardio pulmonary resuscitation, advanced basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, defibrillation .He also demonstrated the emergency care techniques with his team. It was conducted for second year and third year OT & AT students. Totally 130 students got benefitted from this programme

Name of the event : guest lecture on world population day

Paavai Institute of Allied Health Sciences organized a Guest lecture on World population day on 12/07/2022 at Thirumandhiram hall, Paavai Institutions. The program started with the prayer song and followed by welcome address delivered by DrP.Chitra Principal, PIAHS .The Guest introduction was given by Nareshkumar.M Tutor,  PIAHS .Dr.P.Chitra,Principal, presented a memento to the chief guest Dr.Anitha Sivakumar,MBBS, MD Obstetrics & Gynecology Director of M.M. Hospital.

Dr.Anitha Sivakumar, MBBS, MD Obstetrics & Gynecology Director of M.M. Hospital addressed on Safeguarding Health & rights of women in this era. She elaborated the effects of over population and importance of women health. She focused on the cause and effect of abortion at young age whether legal or illegal. She also highlighted the role of women and their rights in increasing or decreasing population. Quiz was conducted followed by feedback session from the students. Name of the event :  life in thirukurral

LIFE IN THIRUKKURAL was aimed at spreading awareness on the life lessons offered by the Tamil poem compilation “Thirukkural” by Thiruvalluvar. The function was organized on 05.08.2022 honoured with the presence of the chief guest Dr. Aroomugam Parasuramen, Former Education Minister, Mauritius, UNESCO Director, Chairman – Global Rainbow Foundation, Founder – International Thirukkural Foundation. Dr. Parasuramen addressed how his ancestors became an important part of his goal to make Thirukkural global. He also mentioned few kurals that can help the student find their way in life. With rekindling everyone’s curiosity in Thirukkural, the session came to an end.

Paavai Institutions celebrated the 75th Independence Day at Kalpana Chawla Open Theatre on 15.08.2022with a huge gathering of 5000. The celebration was graced with the presence of Chairman, Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Correspondent, Smt. MangaiNatrajan, Directors, Deans, Principals of all colleges,and Heads of various departments, faculty members and students. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan Chairman, hoisted the national flag, initiated the event which enthused the gathering with national fervor and parades took place by the students of Paavai Institutions.

In the presidential address, he conveyed his Independence Day wishes to all and mentioned that we must always remember the struggles and sacrifices of our martyrs and strive hard to make the nation flourish and united in the future. He highlighted that it is the obligation of the students to uphold our rich culture and legacy. He also added that to achieve this, students of the nation must put in their best efforts with strong mentality to face any hurdles thrown along the way to success. As the students work, it is also the duty of the educational institutions to support and act as a safe haven for our young innovative minds. He insisted to respect and follow our democratic principles with a strong belief in truth, honesty, determination, responsibility and duty. Teachers who are regarded as gurus should also inculcate social responsibility with patriotism apart from academic responsibility. Prize distribution for various events, the initiatives of Nation Building Projects for the forthcoming days by Paavai Institutions along with CII-Young Indians, Salem Chapter were also a part of the celebration

Name of the event :  guruvanakkam

Paavai Institutions celebrated Teacher’s Day in a devotional and spirited way by organising Guru Vanakkam at Anandha Arangam from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Students rendered bhajans glorifying the qualities of teachers and selective slogans of the Almighty.Dr.Kumarasamy, Retired Professor, Department of English,Government Arts College, was the Chief Guest. In his address, he stated, that he was immensely pleased to be in a serene, divine and blessed atmosphere where the spirits of the entire crowd have been elevated in the Arangam. He appreciated the efforts of the organising committee for the excellent rendition of the bhajans by the students.He also added,that teachers are different from Gurus and they are referred to as “Acharyar” in the North.They are the souls who guide, shape, develop and give vision to our life and expel us from the darkness with their light of gnana.He also insisted everyone to refer the poem “Village School Master” by Oliver Goldsmith which portrays the life of a dedicated teacher.  He added that all teachers should continuously acquire, update their knowledge, have a broader vision for life and contribute to the development of their students. Finally, he insisted that “Character building and Man making” are the qualities of a great teacher.

Then it was continued with the PadhaPooja- a spiritual ritual where the students performed Pooja for their teachers upon recitation of valuable thoughts by the Chairman

Name of the event :  gramiya kalai vizha

Paavai Institutions celebrated Paavai Gramiya Kalai Vizha’22 at  Kalpana Chawla Open Theatre on 15.10.2022. The function commenced with an invocation followed with Tamilthaivalthu  by the students. Shri CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions delivered the welcome address. Thiru .S.R.Gandhi , Director, IRPFS,  Department of Arts and Culture, Tamilnadu was the chief guest.

In his special address, Thiru .S.R.Gandhi , Director, IRPFS  expressed his amazement at Paavai’s transformation. He said that one must be aware of his own culture. Paavai has won the awards for internships from the AICTE, NSS, and sports by giving both academic and extracurricular activities equal weightage. He emphasised the vibrant culture of Tholkappiyam. He ends his remarks by congratulating the students for continuing our history of arts and culture to  the next generation.

The students performed various traditional dances such as Karakaattam, Oyilattam, Kummi, Kaliyattam, Puliyattam, Sattai Kuchiattam, Silambam, Odissi,  Mallar Kambam and Kal Kol Attam in an extraordinary way.

Name of the event :  the inaugural function of bachelor of physiotheraphy

The inaugural function of Bachelor of Physiotherapy program at Paavai Physiotherapy Science College was held on 16.10.2022.Followed with it, the function was held at Anandha Arangam. It started with an invocation by the students and lighting of Kuthuvilaku by the ministers and dignitaries. Shri.CA.N.V.Natrajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions delivered the welcome address. Honorable Ma.Subramanian, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu was the Chief guest. Honourable Ma.Subramanian, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu gave the inaugural address. In his address, he mentioned, the name for Anandha Arangam has captivated him, as it means “happiness has brimmed inside the hall”. He added, the inscription “We create Leaders” has inspired him a lot and it proves that opportunities are catered amidst the students to inculcate and bring out their leadership quality. He elucidated about his experience in 134 marathons and his record of achievements in India book of records, Asia book of records and World book of records. He stressed the importance of exercise and sports as it gives mental and physical wellness. He also insisted the importance of medical physiotherapy courses and the initiatives taken by the TamilNadu government for various types of diseases like hypertension, diabetes, hypertension and diabetes, Paleolithic care and Physiotherapy.92 lakh people have been benefited from the various schemes offered by the government.25 lakhs in Diabetes, 18 lakh in hypertension and diabetes, 3 lakh in Paleo care and 8 lakhs in Physiotherapy and so on. He also encouraged that the students who have opted for these types of courses have a bright future and number of employment opportunities are available in the government and other medical sectors. He finally concluded that dedication, consistent handwork and diligence are required to create a  well resounded society.

Name of the event :  goal setting programme for students

The inauguration of the Goal Setting Programme was held at Tata Hall, Paavai College of Technology on 31.10.2022 by 10.00 am. The programme started with the prayer song, followed by lighting of kuthuvilakku and the welcome address was delivered by  Ms.Kavya, I B.Pharm. After the welcome address, the session was handled by the Chairman Sir. In his session, first and foremost, he interacted with the students about the need of the Goal Setting Programme. He quoted Abdul Kalam sirs’s words and made all students to repeat those words. He defined the goal and explained the idea that preparation is necessary to accomplish the goal. He correlated his life incidence of setting a goal at the age of 17 and how he made that to come true. Then he moved to importance of setting a goal, he elaborated the seven points where everyone need to take control of their life to be in progress and successful. Further he described the factors for not setting goal and failure of goal. He expounded about the fixing smart goals and he has thrown light on the word, ‘SMART’. He elucidated the seven steps for goal setting. He instructed everyone to create a vision of who you want to be in next ten years.

As he said earlier, he has shown the proof of the goal set and achieved. He narrated his life experience of setting a goal at the age of 17, when he was in I B.Com and it came true with mere and sheer hard work. He highlighted that, Paavai was established with two main notions:

  • Paavai should be the guiding torch to the youth folk
  • Paavai should be the student centric institution

He insisted that the importance of  training and to become a trainer, he has attended many training programmes conducted by JCI(Junior Chamber International), where he praised his guru Mr.T.K.Chandrasekar, Trainer for providing him platform and guidance for making his dream into reality. He has shown the Time line series of growth and progress of Paavai Educational Institutions from Paavai women polytechnic college to Paavai Physiotherapy science College, the establishment of 18 Institutions under the umbrella of Paavai vriksham. He has shown the facilities, meeting halls,  resources, hostels, bus yard, celebrities who visited our campus, celebrations and activities of students  at various events such as Independence day, Annual day, Astra, Vyugam, Srishti, yoga and participation in various sports events.

Then he listed and shown the achievements of the Institutions such as Paavai stands Top Ten position in Engineering Counselling, Best Engineering College award from News 18 TV channel, All India Ist Rank in AICTE-Internshala for best internship record for the past three years, Top Inovative research Institution award, Champions of Champions Trophy for consecutively six years. He has shown the awards of the faculty members and students. He also stated the accolades of our alumni, Ms.Sweshika NSS Best volunteer award from Honourable president, Droupadi Murmu, Mr.Praveen kumar, Indian Navy, M.Sivasakthi, Best Women Scientist of CSIR and so on.

He expounded the various challenges and hurdles, which he had faced while establishing the Paavai Educational Institutions and he said that with the support of all the stakeholders such as students, teachers, parents, society and management, the institutions have taken an exponential growth. He enlisted his vision on students as best engineers, nurses, pharmacists, teachers, physicians, doctors, economists, politicians, scientists,  CEO’s of Top MNC’s, leaders and all the above best human beings. He went on to enumerate the expectations from the students. He further narrated the life incidences of Mr.Mustafa and Mr.Muthusamy, who were his school and college friends. From the stories, he inferred that the goal and self-confidence were the pivotal factors to make a man successful in their career, whether they are rich or poor. He listed the six components to sustain his victory namely honest objectives, clear approaches, continuous attempt, hard work, discipline and devotion to God. Finally he concluded by stating that,” set your goal, shape your future and be a leader”.
